Ingredients:
4 Onions (diced or julienned)
1 clove garlic
2 Quarts stock
1 cup Beer or wine
Baguette cut into crostini and provolone cheese for topping
Method:
Caramalize the onion and garlic. Slowly cook them down, they should be about 1/4 the original volume when done. Deglaze with the beer and allow to reduce. Finally add the stock and bring to a boil, allow reduce to desired flavor and consistancy.
Time for a pint...
I do love French Onion Soup. The tip on using beef and chicken stock was really good. The video and recipe is fantastic. I will be making this recipe very soon. :-)
